This Way Madness Lies Heading to Switch This Month

Zeboyd Digital Entertainment announced that This Way Madness Lies will release on Nintendo Switch on July 25, 2023. The developer also revealed that a PlayStation 5 version is in development, but does not yet have a release date. In addition, Limited Run Games will be releasing physical editions of the game’s console versions, with details to be revealed at a later date.

This Way Madness Lies is a turn-based RPG blending Shakespeare and magical girls that follows the Stratford-Upon-Avon High Drama Society. Its members attend school and put on plays for the community while also working as magical girls. The group — Imogen, Paulina, Viola, Rosalind, Miranda, Beatrice, and Kate — teleport to alternate worlds based on Shakespeare’s plays to save them from the forces of Nightmare. The game originally released for PC in 2022 and won RPGamer’s 2022 Michael A. Cunningham Memorial Award.
