Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC Gets New Trailer, Detective Pikachu Returns Announced
Two Pokémon titles appeared during today’s Nintendo Direct presentation. The first part of the presentation showed a new trailer for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s upcoming DLC. The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero will release in two parts. Part 1: The Teal Mask will release in fall 2023, with Part 2: The Indigo Disk to follow in winter 2023. The first part will take players to the land of Kitakami, while the second will see players studying at Blueberry Academy, which hosts a facility called the Terarium Dome.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are the latest generation of Pokémon titles and released worldwide for Nintendo Switch on November 18, 2022. The games take place in the new Paldea region with players controlling students sent out on a grand treasure hunt. The Pokémon Company also announced Detective Pikachu Returns, a sequel to Nintendo 3DS adventure title Detective Pikachu. The game sees Tim Goodman and his detective partner Pikachu investigating a new series of incidents in Ryme City, where humans and Pokémon live side-by-side. Detective Pikachu Returns will release for Nintendo Switch on October 6, 2023.
