Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Announced
The Pokémon Company held a new Pokémon Presents presentation during which it announced Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The games are the latest generation of mainline Pokémon titles and look to build upon some of the changes introduces in Pokémon Legends: Arceus with an open-world to explore.
The games’ new set of starter Pokémon are Sprigatito, the Grass Cat Pokémon; Fuecoco, the Fire Croc Pokémon; and Quaxly, the Duckling Pokémon. No other details have been released for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, which are planned to release for Nintendo Switch in late 2022.
The Pokémon Company also announced a new update is live for Pokémon Legends: Arceus. The Daybreak (Ver. 1.1.0) update adds investigations of mysterious mass outbreaks of Pokémon across the Hisui region. It also adds additional options for players to battle powerful Pokémon, including Legendary Pokémon and wardens.
