RPG Developer Bakin Includes Sample Game, Asset Tutorial
Developer SmileBoom provided some additional details regarding its RPG Developer Bakin game creation suite ahead of its launch on Steam Early Access next week. The information covers the built-in sample game “Orb Stories”, as well as some asset tutorials and inclusions.
Orb Stories is a small-scale game, lasting around 30 minutes, that players can modify and extend to help understand and introduce users to the development suite. It introduces an adventure following Ken, a young man from the village of Neitei, who beocmes involved in a conflict surrounding powerful orbs. There are multiple points designed to let players try out modifications as well as assets, map data, and character data that they can use while doing so.
Meanwhile, the suite will come with a 3D asset tutorial, which gives an overview of the game’s 3D assets with simple examples. It will also come with a map collection containing various sample creations generated using the suite’s toolset including small rooms and continental maps.
RPG Developer Bakin will release on Steam Early Access on October 17, 2022, priced at $69.99. It is expected to spend around a year in Early Access, with the developer planning to add features and tools during the Early Access period.
