Monster Sanctuary Gets Free Forgotten World Update

Team17 and Moi Rai Games have released a free content update for monster-taming RPG Monster Sanctuary. The “Forgotten World” update adds a new area and ten new monsters, as well as new items, skills, and outfits. It also adds three new gameplay modes — Bravery Mode, Randomizer, and Permadeath — which can be combined to let players customise their experience.

Monster Sanctuary aims to combine Metroidvania-style side-scrolling exploration with 3v3 turn-based combat. The game lets players tame and add any monster encountered in the game to their party. Each monster has its own skill tree and can be equipped with armor and fed to increase its stats. In addition to being used in combat, some monsters also have abilities that aid in exploration, letting players access new areas of the world. The game released in 2020 and is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
