Final Soul Hackers 2 Summoner’s Guide Details Safe House, New Game Options

Atlus released the sixth and final entry in its Summoner’s Guide video series for Soul Hackers 2. The seven-minute video, once again hosted by protagonist Ringo in Japanese with English subtitles available, details the game’s safe house and various shops, as well as its new game options and part of its DLC.

The safe house acts as Ringo and her allies’ base of operations that was originally used by Arrow. Here players can heal and rest, as well as having the team eat and interact. It’s also where certain DLC content can be obtained. Meals can provide different effects, including temporary stat increases or assisting dungeon exploration, and can be purchased at restaurants and vending machines. Ringo’s partner Figue can also suggest her own meal creations.

There are multiple stores available in the game in both the overworld and underworld. One of these is Delamancha in the overworld town of Karaku, here players can purchase healing and support items. Meanwhile, in the underworld’s Mansei Realm is the store Yoyojo, which is popular with Devil Summoners. Here, players can purchase items for use in battle as well as exploration.

After completing a playthrough, players can select different elements to carry into a new one. The second playthrough will allow players to witness additional personal events and undertake more challenging side missions. On a new game, players will be able to select Easy, Normal, or Hard difficulties, with a Very Hard difficulty planned as DLC. In addition, the video revealed that other DLC available will include costume and music DLC from the previous Soul Hackers game and other titles, unlocks for demons including Mara and Masakado, experience and currency farming bonuses, and more. All of the DLC will be available in a single package, and those who pre-order the game digitally will receive a Persona 5 costume and music set.

Soul Hackers 2 is a new title in Shin Megami Tensei’s Devil Summoner spin-off series and is set in a world where certain people are able to command demons to fight using customisable devices called COMPs. It follows Ringo, an agent sent by “humanity’s overseer” Aion to investigate and intervene in the Phantom Society’s bid to summon the “Great One”. The game is being developed for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S and is planned to release in Japan on August 25, 2022, and in North America and Europe on August 26, 2022.
