Soul Hackers 2 Fourth Summoner’s Guide Video Released

Atlus released the fourth video in its “Summoner’s Guide” series for Soul Hackers 2. Once again hosted by the game’s protagonist Ringo, the latest video expands upon the latest character trailer for Ringo and Figue, as well as detailing some of the game’s growth systems.

Ringo is an agent of “humanity’s overseer” Aion, and was recently created by it to prevent the world’s end. Her COMP device is normally a katana, but can transform into a gun during a Sabbath. She is a powerful attacker and skilled at electricity and almighty-type skills. Figue is Ringo’s partner, created at the same time as her. She acts in a support role, providing intelligence for Ringo and her allies and using a drone called Mimi to scout dungeons. The two are given mission details and instructions by a being called Flamma.

There are multiple ways for Devil Summoners in the game to get stronger. The COMP Smith is run by Tara, who uses acquired materials to modify COMPs. Modifications include increased attack power, decreased MP costs, and additional skills. Ringo COMP can obtain additional exclusive Commander Skills. Players can also purchase accessories from Zafiro, which boost character attributes. Finally, players can increase the Soul Level between Ringo and her allies. This can be done by participating in hangout events at Bar Heidrun, as well as in other parts of the story. Increasing Soul Levels provides a currently-unspecified bonus.

Soul Hackers 2 is a new title in Shin Megami Tensei’s Devil Summoner spin-off series and is set in a world where certain people are able to command demons to fight using customisable devices called COMPs. The game is being developed for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S and is planned to release in Japan on August 25, 2022, and in North America and Europe on August 26, 2022.
