Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection Announced
Capcom announced the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, a collection of games in the Mega Man Battle Network series of tactical RPGs. The collection will be released for PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch in 2023 as two separate digital volumes. It will include all versions of the mainline games:
- Mega Man Battle Network
- Mega Man Battle Network 2
- Mega Man Battle Network 3 White
- Mega Man Battle Network 3 Blue
- Mega Man Battle Network 4 Red Sun
- Mega Man Battle Network 4 Blue Moon
- Mega Man Battle Network 5 Team Protoman
- Mega Man Battle Network 5 Team Colonel
- Mega Man Battle Network 6 Cybeast Gregar
- Mega Man Battle Network 6 Cybeast Falzar
The Mega Man Battle Network series is set in the near future world of Net Society, with all of the mainline games released for Game Boy Advance between 2001 and 2006. The populace depends on computer programs known as Network Navigators (NetNavi) that manage everything, which has led to new opportunities for cybercriminals. Players control Lan Hikari as his NetNavi MegaMan.EXE as they explore the net and take part in grid-based combat. The Legacy Collection will include optional high resolution filters, a gallery with over 1,000 pieces of concept art and illustrations, and a music player with over 180 tracks.
