Tower of Fantasy Begins Closed Beta, Launching This Year

Publisher Level Infinite and developer Hotta Studio announced that they have begun a closed beta test for shared open world action RPG Tower of Fantasy. The closed beta for the game will run until May 20, 2022, and comes ahead of its planned international release for PC, iOS, and Android later this year.

Tower of Fantasy released in China in 2021. The game is set in a future where dwindling resources and energy have caused humanity to migrate to the planet Aida. On Aida, humanity discovered a comet called Mara that contains an energy known as Omnium. However, the attempt to capture the comet using a construction called the Omnium Tower resulted in a catastrophic disaster.

Players control adventurers that set out into the post-catastrophe world to help secure humanity’s future. The game features combat where players can switch weapons and combat styles on the fly. Players can also team up with others as part of its shared world.

Level Infinite and Hotta Studio also provided introductions to some of the games main allies. Meryl’s sword skills give her great success with tough missions, though she acts distant. Shiro is passionate about the ocean and has been traveling alone studying Aida’s oceans for several years, protecting herself with a defensive weapon created from a desalination device. Samir acts independently and enjoys playing tricks on others, but is quite liked among elite agents. Huma is afflicted with a condition that grants her superhuman strength and is generally quiet, but her aura changes when she puts her mind to something. Finally, Tsubasa is highly skilled as well as talkative and opportunistic, always looking to join in where the action is.
