Fantasian Update Adds Void Realm, New Game+
Mistwalker has released its version 2.5.0 update for Fantasian on the Apple Arcade. The update includes two new pieces of content: the Void Realm and a New Game+ mode.
The Void Realm is an additional story challenge that sees players attempting to restore Yim’s heart after it is corrupted by the Void. It takes players to the eponymous realm, which is made up of three floors representing corrupted versions of En, Vence, and the Vibra Royal Capital. Players touch Void Crystals to begin a battle against a random foe. After defeating three of the Void Crystals, players will then fight against Yim.
New Game+ mode lets players start a new adventure and retain all of their character levels, skills, and equipment. Players do not need to have completed the game, but will need to have reunited with all allies, who need to have awakened their Divine Artifacts, and obtained the Tachyon Medal from the God Realm. Provided they have accomplished this and visited the Altar located in Shangri-La, New Game+ mode will be available.
Fantasian takes place in a multi-dimensional universe and begins in a world ruled by machines. The game follows Leo, a young man who wakes up after a giant explosion in a strange land with only a single memory. Leo journeys to recover his memories while a mechanical infection takes over humanity, with “Chaos and Order” being a key theme. Combat is turn-based and includes directional-based spells that players can aim and curve, while the graphics make use 150+ dioramas created by Japan’s tokusatsu/special effects industry. The first part of the game was released on Apple Arcade in April 2021, with the second part released in August 2021. Those looking to read more about Fantasian can check out Jason McFadden’s impressions of the first and second parts of the game.
