Pokémon Legends: Arceus Shows Sinnoh’s Past

As part of today’s Pokémon Presents presentation, The Pokémon Company showed some new footage from Pokémon Legends: Arceus. The three-minute video showcases the region of Hisui, the past name of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl’s Sinnoh region. The company also released a new batch of screenshots and art for the game.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus offers a new approach for the series with its open, full-3D world. The game sees players venturing out to help create the region’s first Pokédex. To catch Pokémon, players will need to study the Pokémon’s behaviour and sneak close enough to throw a Poké Ball, while wild Pokémon battles can be initiated by throwing the Poké Ball containing a partner Pokémon near to the targeted Pokémon. Pokémon Legends: Arceus will release for Nintendo Switch on January 28, 2022.
