NACON Connect Shows Upcoming Titles

Publisher NACON held its NACON Connect presentation, during which it showcased a number of its upcoming titles, including some RPGs. The first title shown was Big Bad Wolf’s Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong, with a new trailer that introduced Galeb, one of the three playable characters with intertwined stories. Galeb is one of the oldest and most feared vampires in Boston. The game is set to be released for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch in 2021.

NACON also revealed the first free update for Abrakam Entertainment’s Roguebook. The Gem Mines sees players venture into a mine that provides greater reward as well as greater risk the further down they go. Roguebook is a deck-buidling RPG co-designed by Magic: The Gathering creator Richard Garfield. The game includes a chapter-based campaign, which requires that players restart after being defeated, but with permanent upgrades available. It is available now for PC, with PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch versions planned to follow at a later date.

Spiders’ newest title Steelrising received a new trailer, showing the player character — an automaton tasked with protecting Marie-Antoinette — as they fight through an alternate-universe French Revolution where King Louis XVI has amassed an army of robots to fight the revolution. The trailer revealed a June 2022 release window for the game on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Finally, NACON announced a September 30, 2021, PC release date for Cyanide Studio and Leikir Studio’s Rogue Lords. The game will also release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch at a later date. The game is set in a version of the 17th century where mortals and other entities live side by side. Players control the Devil after he is forced the retreat to hell following a defeat. In addition to regaining his powers, he looks to restore the spread of corruption and re-exert his control over the world, forming a team made up of legendary characters dedicated to evil.
