Mass Effect Legendary Edition to Release in May

Electronic Arts and BioWare have announced Mass Effect Legendary Edition will release worldwide on May 14, 2021, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The collection will also be playable on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X with targeted enhancements. A new official reveal trailer can be viewed below.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition is a trilogy package that contains remastered versions of Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3. The Legendary Edition will include the single-player story campaigns and DLC from all three games, plus promotional weapons and armor packs. The first game is getting additional changes for the Legendary Edition. Though the gameplay mechanics will remain the same, it will receive additional detail in its locations, as well as updated UIs, improved aiming, squad controls and behavior, vehicle handling, and cameras.

Mass Effect is a sci-fi adventure RPG set in outer space near the end of the 22nd century. Each game has players controlling Commander Shepard, an elite agent working for the galaxy’s council. Originally just an option in Mass Effect 3, the default female Commander Shepard design is now available in the previous two games.

Female shepherd was always an option in all the games (ME1,2,3)Jennifer Hale does the voice work and she does an amazing job – it’s some of the best VA ever.

I’m really confused why this states it was only an option in the third game at first, unless I’m missing something. It’s always been an option.
