Rune II Releasing on Steam Next Month

Studio 369 has announced that Rune II: Decapitation Edition will be available on Steam on November 13, 2020. The edition comes with all of the changes made available with the campaign update released on the Epic Games Store in September, including a revamp of the game’s main storyline, the dungeons of Midgard, a skill tree system, and new events and creatures. Players on different storefronts will be able to join up in multiplayer.

Rune II is not a direct sequel to the original game, but takes place in the same universe. The game was originally developed by Human Head Studios and released for PC in 2019, with Human Head Studios closing down and reforming as a new studio within Bethesda Softworks immediately after the game’s release. In the aftermath, publisher Ragnarok Game, LLC formed Studio 369 to rework the game.
