World of Warcraft: Shadowlands to Come Out in October
Blizzard Entertainment released a new trailer for its MMORPG World of Warcraft’s latest expansion, Shadowlands, while also providing the official release date. Shadowlands will be added to the world of Azeroth on October 27, 2020, for PC and Mac in Europe and North America. The company also released a six-minute vignette featuring Uther the Lightbringer and his journey to Bastion, which can be viewed below.
World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is the game’s eighth major expansion and allows players to travel to the lands of the afterlife. There, players will be able to pledge to one of four Covenants, each with their own campaigns, gameplay features, and abilities. A new limited-time pre-launch Death Rising event is also being added, which has players journeying to Icecrown and ultimately leads up to the events of Shadowlands. The event will also feature a new zone known as Exile’s Reach that will serve as a starting point for new players to the game.
