New Neptunia Game Unveiled

As part of its celebrations for the series’ tenth anniversary, Compile Heart announced a brand new Neptunia game. The game is titled Go! Go! 5 Jigen Game Neptune: re★Verse and is being developed for PlayStation 5, though no release window or other details were announced. More information about the game is expected in September.

The Neptunia series takes place in the world of Gamindustri, with characters representing various console or video game companies. The series began with PlayStation 3 trilogy Hyperdimension Neptunia, Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2, and Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory. The games were remade for PlayStation Vita (also later released for PC) under the titles Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1, Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 2: Sisters Generation, and Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 3: V Generation. A fourth mainline title, Megadimension Neptunia VII, is currently available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch, while numerous spin-offs have also been released, including tactical RPG Hyperdevotion Noire: Goddess Black Heart, action RPGs Hyperdimension Neptunia U: Action Unleashed and Cyberdimension Neptunia: 4 Goddesses Online, and 2D RPG Super Neptunia RPG.
