Fate/EXTELLA Games Released on Mobile in Japan

Following the announcement of a remake for Fate/EXTRA, Marvelous has released sequels Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star and Fate/EXTELLA Link on iOS and Android in Japan. The games are available as paid apps and feature remodelled control schemes for touchscreens.

Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star and Fate/EXTELLA Link both switch from Fate/EXTRA’s turn-based combat against single foes to action combat against large numbers of enemies. The series is a spin-off to the mainline Fate franchise, with players controlling a “master” who works with spirits based on historical figures and combat classes in a struggle against other masters and servents. Both Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star and Fate/EXTELLA Link are available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Nintendo Switch, and PC in North America and Europe.
