Fate/EXTRA Record Announced

Type-Moon Studio BB has announced a remake of the first RPG from the Fate series titled Fate/EXTRA Record. The original game, Fate/EXTRA, released ten years ago on the PlayStation Portable. No release date has been announced, but the game is slated to arrive on current generation platforms. The trailer for the remake and an eighty-minute video stream can be viewed below.

Fate/EXTRA Record will tell the story of the Moon Holy Grail War, a tournament where numerous combatants fight with the aid of Servants, powerful summoned spirits, with the winner of the tournament rewarded by getting their wishes granted. Update — An extended version of the trailer has since been released, and can be viewed below. The game will feature a revamped combat system, with the male and female protagonist options returning, though the protagonist will now have voice acting.
