Neptunia Virtual Stars Gets New Japanese Trailer
Compile Heart released a new Japanese trailer for the latest Neptunia series spin-off, Neptunia Virtual Stars. The five-minute video introduces the game’s major characters as well as its action combat, with players switching on the fly between melee and ranged weapons. It also shows the BeatTik rhythm side-game as well as a couple of guest VTubers that players can rescue and recruit to appear in support roles.
Neptunia Virtual Stars, known in Japan as VVVtunia, focuses on the realm of idols. The game’s story takes place on planet EMO, where the group of goddesses teams up with the virtual idol group called Mewtral in order to save the digital world known as Virtual Land. The game is set to be released in Japan for PlayStation 4 on August 6, 2020. Idea Factory International will release Neptunia Virtual Stars in North America and Europe physically and digitally sometime in 2021.
