Although steps have been taken to remove specific details where possible, spoilers for Zero no Kiseki and Ao no Kiseki may be present in the story and gallery below.

Nihon Falcom announced the Japanese release date for the latest title in the Legend of Heroes series, The Legend of Heroes: Hajimari no Kiseki. The game, which takes place after Trails of Cold Steel IV and follows three different main protagonists, will launch in the country on August 27, 2020, on PlayStation 4.

The developer also revealed some more characters who will be appearing in this game. Some appeared in previous titles, while others are new characters, though they have connections to existing characters. The first of these is Rixia Mao, who was a member of the Crossbell theater troupe “Arc en Ciel” while harbouring her secret identity. Other characters include Zeit, a dog-like beast who can communicate with humans; another “Arc en Ciel” member, Ilya Platiere; A-rank bracer Arios MacLaine; Vander family head Matteus Vander and his second wife Aurier Vander; and Ouroboros member F. Novartis.

In other series news, the enhanced remaster of Zero no Kiseki launched for PlayStation 4 in Japan today. The remaster of its sequel, Ao no Kiseki, is set to follow on May 28, 2020. No announcement has been made regarding western releases for any of these three titles, though NIS America recently revealed that Trails of Cold Steel IV is coming to PlayStation 4 in the west later this year and to Nintendo Switch and PC in 2021.
