New Trailer for The Surge 2 Gives Tour of Jericho City

Focus Home Interactive has released a new trailer for Deck13’s upcoming action RPG, The Surge 2. The game moves away from the previous instalment’s factory floors, warehouses, and corporate offices to the sprawling Jericho City, a metropolis being devoured by a nanomachine infestation. This new threat leaves behind it a wake of horrific amalgamations of flesh and metal — all-new enemies that have made the back alleys, serene parks, and abandoned mega-structures their hunting grounds. Players will have to survive as they are caught in the crossfire between street gangs, government forces, and cultists all vying for control of the city’s various locations.

Like its predecessor, The Surge 2 offers players the ability to strategically dismember foes in order to gain access to specific pieces of tech and scrap metal, which can be used to upgrade or physically attach to their own exoskeleton in order to strengthen it. The new trailer shows the new combat moves, dismemberments, environments, enemy types, and bosses found in the upcoming sequel. The Surge 2 will release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on September 24, 2019, and is available now to pre-order.
