Code Vein Behind the Scenes Video Details Partners

Bandai Namco has released a new behind the scenes video for upcoming action RPG Code Vein. The video features producer Keita Iizuka, director Hiroshi Yoshimura, and associate directors Yuta Yamamoto and Yuichi Yoda, who talk about the NPC partners that players bring with them in the game and the ideas behind them. Bandai Namco also recently released a couple of new brief gameplay videos. The first focuses on the one-handed sword weapon type, while the second shows the “Successor of the Ribcage” boss.

Bandai Namco has also opened up pre-orders for Code Vein’s Digital Deluxe Edition. The edition includes the game’s season pass as well as the following pre-order bonuses — God Eater collaboration weapon set, Venous Claw weapon, Harbinger Blood Code unlock: Desperate Burst skill, and bonus cosmetic items and communication stamps. The game’s season pass is confirmed to include: Mia’s white costume; Astrea Blood Code unlock: Gift Extension skill, Lightning Spike skill, Guardian Aid skill, and Torchbearer skill; and forthcoming DLC titled Abyss of the Thunder, Abyss of the Fire, and Abyss of the Ice.

Code Vein is set in a post-apocalyptic world where a phenomenon called the Thorns of Judgment has laid waste to human civilisation. As a result of this phenomenon, surviving humans have gained supernatural abilities at the cost of severe bloodlust that can turn them into members of the mindless cannibalistic force wandering the world known as the Lost. The game will be released on September 27, 2019, for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
