En Masse Entertainment and BonusXP spent some time on the Nintendo Treehouse broadcast at E3 with The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics. The demo follows a team through a pair of missions designed created specifically for E3. The basics of the combat system are explained alongside unique scenario goals, character jobs, racial abilities, and interactive environments.
The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics follows and goes beyond the story of the upcoming Netflix series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. The game takes players to the land of Thra one hundred years before the film The Dark Crystal. The game will arrive later in 2019 for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Mac.
I love a good TRPG – but putting it in the world of The Dark Crystal is a masterstroke. Absolutely loved the original film (and novelisation). It’s such a lore-steeped, melancholic setting – there are definite parallels with Lordran in the Dark Souls series.
