YIIK Celebrates the Turn of the Century with Launch Trailer

Developer Ackk Studios and publisher Ysbryd Games are ringing in the new millennium with a release trailer for their just-released title, YIIK: A Postmodern RPG. Modeled after traditional Japanese RPGs, but with a surrealist vibe, the game explores a simpler world, before constant online connectivity and information overload at the press of a button became the status quo. In this barbaric age of the Internet’s infancy, players will accompany recent college graduate Alex on his quest to retrieve his grocery list from a thieving cat, and through all the adventures and conspiracies that follow.

YIIK: A Postmodern RPG released on January 17, 2019, for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC and Mac via Steam for $19.99. In addition, a PlayStation Vita release is planned for sometime later in 2019. RPGamer’s Zach Welhouse has already taken the game through its paces, and interested readers can find his review here.
