Death end re;Quest Shows Real-World Interactions, Pre-order Bundle Detailed
Idea Factory International has provided a new set of screenshots for its upcoming title Death end re;Quest. The new screenshots show the portions of the game that take place in the real world, as Arata Mizunashi looks to help Shina Ninomiya, who is trapped in a cancelled fictional VRMMORPG named World’s Odyssey.
In addition to the screenshots, Idea Factory International has updated the game’s official website, revealing further information on selected characters as well as the real-world portion of the game. Interacting with the real world is done through a PC-style UI, with Arata able to choose to talk to characters, examine items found in World’s Odyssey and their history, and travel to various locations where mysteries in the real-world may be tied to those of World’s Odyssey.
Idea Factory International also announced the game will be available to pre-order digitally in North America from January 15, 2019. The game will be available in a $74.99 bundle that includes the game and a Season Pass that grants access to all of its DLC. PS Plus members will be able to get a 15% discount on the bundle and will also be granted early access to the game’s Summer Swimsuit Bundle DLC. The Season Pass will also be available separately in North America for $19.99, or $14.99 for PS Plus members. In Europe, all the DLC will be available to purchase individually.
Death end re;Quest is set to be released in North America and Europe for PlayStation 4 on February 19, 2019. Anna Marie Privitere was able to check out the game at last year’s E3 in Los Angeles.
