Away: Journey to the Unexpected Gets Gameplay Video, PC Release Date

Developer Aurélien Regard and publisher Playdius have released a new gameplay video for upcoming action adventure RPG Away: Journey to the Unexpected. The video shows ten minutes of gameplay footage as the hero recruits some allies before exploring an old factory.

Meanwhile, the PC release date for the game was also announced as February 13, 2019. The game will arrive on PlayStation 4 first on February 5, 2019, followed by a Switch release on February 7, 2019, and an Xbox One release on February 8, 2019. Those who pre-order the game on PlayStation Store in Europe will receive a free copy of first-person explorer Shape of the World, while those who pre-order for PC on GOG.com will receive the game a week early on February 5, 2019.

Away: Journey to the Unexpected combines rogue-lite and FPS elements with players controlling a kid who is neither a hero nor warrior. However, he is adept at making friends and uses his ability to team up with various characters, who players will be able to control and use the abilities of. The game is being primarily developed in France, with the music and opening animation being created in Japan.
