Death end re;Quest English Opening, Website Released

Idea Factory International has released the opening movie and unveiled the official website for its upcoming western release of Compile Heart’s Death end re;Quest. The opening movie, viewable below, introduces the main cast members and features the song “Caligula Syndrome” performed by the band Gesshoku Kaigi. Meanwhile, the website currently has brief introductions of the two main characters and details about the game’s combat system, with more to be added as the title approaches release.

Death end re;Quest is set to be released in North America and Europe for PlayStation 4 in early 2019. The game follows two main protagonists, Shina Ninomiya and Arata Mizunashi, both employees of the developer behind fictional VRMMORPG World’s Odyssey. Though the VRMMORPG is cancelled, Shina finds herself trapped within the game, while Arata attempts to rescue her from the real world in the city of Sagami. Anna Marie Privitere was able to check out the game at this year’s E3 in Los Angeles.
