Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters Releasing on PS4, Switch This Month

Square Enix announced that its Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster collection will release on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on April 19, 2023. Players will be able to purchase a digital bundle containing the Pixel Remaster versions of Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy II, Final Fantasy III, Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy V, and Final Fantasy VI or all of the games individually.

The PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch versions will include additional features. Players will be able to choose between rearranged and original soundtracks, as well as between a new pixel-based font and the font used on the PC, iOS, and Android releases. There are also new gameplay boost features, such as switching off random encounters and applying experience multipliers from 0x to 4x.

Those who purchase the bundle and individual games by May 25, 2023, will receive bonuses. Nintendo Switch owners will receive two themed wallpapers for each game purchased (all twelve if the bundle is purchased). PlayStation 4 owners will receive a theme and an avatar for each game purchased (again, all six themes and avatars if the bundle is purchased).
