The Caligula Effect: Overdose Receives Story Trailer

NIS America has released a new trailer for The Caligula Effect: Overdose. The new video offers a basic overview of the game’s premise, which sees players trapped inside a virtual school called Mobius created by a virtual idol named μ (Mu). Players join up with like-minded individuals in the Go-Home Club and must fight against μ’s enforcers, the Ostinato Musicians.

The Caligula Effect: Overdose is an enhanced remake of PlayStation Vita title The Caligula Effect. Included among the improvements for the new version are a redone UI, upgraded visuals, and substantial amounts of new content. A “Forbidden Musician” route doubles the length of the game’s scenario, and there will also be multiple endings, new Go-Home Club members, new musicians, new songs, and a selectable female protagonist. The Caligula Effect: Overdose is set to be released in early 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
