Square Enix Provides Some Final Fantasy TGS Trailers

Square Enix has marked this week’s Tokyo Game Show by releasing new trailers for three of its upcoming Final Fantasy releases. In addition to the new videos for World of Final Fantasy Maxima, Final Fantasy Chrystal Chronicles Remaster, and Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy!, the company also revealed some details for the new additions included in the first of those titles.

An enhanced version of 2016 PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita title World of Final Fantasy, World of Final Fantasy Maxima will include new mirages and monsters, as well as a new Avatar Exchange System that lets players control Final Fantasy heroes instead of the two original protagonists. The game will also feature a new fishing mini-game involving Final Fantasy XV‘s Noctis. World of Final Fantasy Maxima will be released for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on November 6, 2018. A DLC upgrade option will be available to those who already own World of Final Fantasy on PC or PlayStation 4.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remaster is a remaster of the original Nintendo GameCube title and set for release in 2019. The remaster will feature worldwide multiplayer and be released for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy! an updated version of Wii title Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo’s Dungeon and planned for release on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch this winter.

    so, basically world of final fantasy wasn’t done. because I seem to remember the dev team talking about playable cloud before the first release … which would make WOFF finished not DLC per se but I guess that’s their new model release incomplete games and call the other 80% of it DLC like ffXV and VII remake (after only talking about it and nothing more for the first 10 years)

    and some rehashed IPs. cool! but what about ff7 remake … ff6 remake? … and dare I ask, ff16? wish they would just focus on main line dev but I know they have to make money…
