Yakuza 3 Premieres a Pretty Upgrade

After having previously announced its plans to remaster the remaining mainline Yakuza games for the PlayStation 4, Sega has shown off some footage of the remastered Yakuza 3. The trailer shows many of the game’s characters, story beats, and minigames available to play along with the improved visual fidelity.

Originally released in 2009 in Japan and 2010 in North America, Yakuza 3 brings back Kazuma Kiryu as the head of an orphanage on the Ryukyu Islands. His idyllic existence is quickly brought back to reality as a plan to remove the orphanage for a new development drags Kazuma back into the world of crime. The game will arrive on PlayStation 4 in Japan on August 9, 2018. There has been no official announcement of an English release.
