Lunastra Burns Up Monster Hunter: World
Capcom has announced the next Elder Dragon to make an appearance in Monster Hunter: World. The latest title update, available now on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, adds Lunastra, the Empress of Flame, to the fray. The update also offers a new tier of Elder Dragon to hunt: the Arch-Tempered Elder Dragons.
Lunastra is an aggressive and hardy beast imbued with blue fire. She is innately resilient to her heated environments, something players must come prepared for. While the fight is meant to be with a full party of four hunters, Lunastra has an ability in which she can fight alongside her mate Teostra. Defeating her will merit unique rewards, as Lunastra’s physiology reacts in peculiar ways when combined with the gems of the Bazelgeuse, Nergigante, and Xeno’jiiva.
Fought her last night. She’s more dangerous than Teostra in her own right…she’s far more aggressive, her flame breath leaves residual blue fire on the ground, she’s immune to flash pods (they piss her off more than anything), and she will fight alongside Teostra whenever he’s around, with the two of them mirroring each other’s moves. Be sure to have others along for this monster.
