Code Vein Talks Some Multiplayer
Bandai Namco has released new information regarding the multiplayer for Code Vein. In Code Vein, players will have an NPC partner with them throughout much of the game. However, it is possible to call in other players to the game through the use of a Distress Signal. Only players who have met an unspecified list of requirements will be eligible to join. While in a game, the rescuing player will receive any benefits of Gifts bestowed by the NPC helper. In-game communication between players will be done by emotions, a combination of gestures, stamps, and voices.
Two new characters were also mentioned: Karen, a collaborator of the Q.U.E.E.N. project, and Cruz Silva, a Q.U.E.E.N test subject who is also the daughter of Gregorio Silva. Code Vein releases worldwide on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC sometime in 2018.
Update – Bandai Namco also released a new batch of screenshots, showing the new characters, some of the multiplayer aspects, and story event scenes.
