Multiple Games Coming to Nintendo Switch

Nintendo today released a new Nintendo Direct Mini video, announcing multiple new titles for Nintendo Switch, though many are rereleases or ports. The first title revealed is The World End with You Final Remix, a version of the Nintendo DS game originally released in 2008. The port of the rhythm-based action RPG will add a new story scenario and be released later this year.

The next RPG news is that a demo for Dragon Quest Builders launches today on the Nintendo eShop. This was followed immediately by the announcement of Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition, the port of the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U release, which will include all of the playable and downloadable characters from both versions as well as Link and Zelda outfits based on Breath of the Wild. The Switch version will also allow local two-player split-screen multiplayer. Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition will be released in spring 2018.

Following on from the very recent reveal of a date for the PC version and localisation patch for Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana, the Direct revealed that the game will also be coming to Nintendo Switch in summer 2018. Meanwhile, Ubisoft’s Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle will be receiving a new character: Donkey Kong. Donkey Kong will be added in a downloadable content pack featuring a new story in spring 2018.

The final RPG reveal is for Dark Souls: Remastered. FromSoftware’s action RPG will be released on Nintendo Switch on May 25, 2018. The Remastered version will include the Artorias of the Abyss DLC, as well as multiplayer with up to six players able to interact on dedicated servers. Bandai Namco has confirmed it will also be released for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
