Josh uses a cat carrier as an impromptu shield. Kelley learns that her husband’s Steamdeck RNG is improved if she’s not around. Meanwhile, Chris’s turtles are always having mating season.
Kelley goes down the Sega Strategy Game Rabbit Hole. Chris becomes a doily shill. And Josh wants Sega to release Valkyria Chronicles as many times as it takes until people like it!

RPG Backtrack Sidetrack wraps up the year looking at Curse of the Azure Bonds, Wasteland 2 and Valkyria Chronicles. Do these PC games hold up as we approach 2019?
The first Valkyria Chronicles game has joined Valkyria Chornicles 4 on Nintendo Switch. The game is available digitally, with those who also purchased the latest title digitally receiving a 25% discount on the original’s remaster.
There’s less than three weeks until Valkyria Chronicles 4 arrives in North America and Europe. Sega has provided the game’s DLC schedule, as well as providing a trailer for the recently-dated Switch version of the first game.
The first Valkyria Chronicles game is coming to Switch in Japan at the same time as Valkyria Chronicles 4. It won’t hit the console on the same date in the west, but the gap isn’t too long.
North America and Europe are getting one Valkyria Chronicles game on Switch (plus other platforms) this September. Japan, meanwhile, gets two.
The original Valkyria Chronicles is getting a release on Switch in Japan, but in addition the Switch version of fourth game is being delayed in the country. There is no word yet on how either of these bits of news will affect western fans.
