Top-Down Action RPG Wardens of Avalon Announced
Publisher The Arcade Crew and developer Runes Studio have announced top-down action RPG Wardens of Avalon. The game offers a dark fantasy take on Arthurian legend and is set to release on PC in 2027. It is available to wishlist on Steam ahead of a playtest planned for later this year.
Wardens of Avalon casts players as a member of the newly formed Legend of the Twilight Knights, which is aiming to restore the fallen Kingdom of Avalon. It features a story campaign playable for both single player and co-op options. The game combines survival crafting with basebuilding elements as players explore regions with their own challenges, enemies, and resources.
Players can build up their own keep and fiefdom using the treasure they collect on their adventures, establishing new districts and adding facilities such as blacksmiths, druids, herborists, and apothecaries. However, they will potentially find themselves under threat from the corrupted Knights of the Round Table.
