Onimusha: Way of the Sword Releasing in September, Demo Available

Capcom announced that action RPG Onimusha: Way of the Sword will release on September 25, 2026. The game will be avaialble for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S with pre-orders available now. In addition, Capcom has released a free demo for the game, which lets players explore the Kiyomizu-dera Temple and take part in a battle against Sasaki Ganryu. Those who play the demo will receive a special Kubi Akari charm in the full game.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword is the first new entry in the series in 20 years. It takes place in an alternate dark fantasy Japan where samurai battle against the supernatural. The game follows Miyamoto Musashi, who is armed with a mystical Oni Gauntlet and battles demons invading Edo-period Kyoto.
