Kynseed Coming to Consoles in August
PixelCount Studios announced that its sandbox life sim RPG Kynseed will be coming to consoles. The game, which launched for PC in 2022, will release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on August 4, 2026. The console version will be priced at $24.99/£19.99/€24.99 and include newly optimised controls and UI. In addition, the developer has released a free update for the game’s PC version. The Tavern Update allows players to run their own tavern and serve refreshments, manage stock, and hire staff as they create a social hub for NPCs.
Kynseed sees players building their family’s legacy, with players taking control of their character’s children once their current character ages and passes away. It is set in a fairy tale-style world with players building relationships and making decisions that can impact multiple generations. The game features a wide assortment of potential activities: adventuring, farming, crafting, and more, while also allowing players to run businesses like blacksmiths, taverns, apothecaries, and more. It also includes a real-time ATB-style combat system with reactive elements.
