Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 4 Launching Next Week

During its latest Monster Hunter Showcase, Capcom revealed the contents and release date for Monster Hunter Wilds‘s free Title Update 4. The update will release on December 16, 2025, with its main new monster addition being Gogmazios, an Elder Dragon first introduced in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, whose awakening causes great destruction in the Forbidden Lands.

To take on Gogmazios, players will need to form parties of up to four Hunters and four Support Hunters. The permanent Event Quest for Gogmazios will let players acquire materials that can be used to upgrade rarity 8 Artian Weapons into Gogma Artian Weapons. The bonuses from the original Artian Weapon are carried over, with one random Set Bonus Skill and one random Group Skill also granted to the Gogma Artian version. In addition, the new Gogma Reinforce feature allows players to keep or reset the bonuses to try and attain more powerful bonuses, as well as re-roll the Set Bonus Skill and Group Skill by using special material. In addition, those of Hunter Rank 100 or above will be able to gain the “Transcendence” ability, which lets them increase the maximum level of their high rank armor.

In addition, Title Update 4 will include a new permanent Event Quest featuring Arch-tempered Jin Dahaad, available from December 24. It will let players obtain materials to create a powerful Gamma armor set. In addition, new Optional Quests let players take on multiple nine-star monsters and earn special Nameplate rewards, with other new Hunting Exercises letting players practice fighting against tempered nine-star monsters. Meanwhile, Nadia will be available as a Support Hunter for the Gogmazios quest and seasonal events, while Nightmist will also become a selectable Support Hunter.

Additional seasonal content sees the Festival of Accord: Lumenhymn arrive in the game from December 19, 2026. Similar to previous festivals, it adds festive decor and meals to the Grand Hub, as well as letting players earn special equipment, gestures, and decorations. There will also be new free and paid DLC, with a free Character and Palico Edit Voucher and set of four free poses joined by a new cosmetic pack.

In further updates, January 2026 will see the release of a Steam-specific stability patch that will offer additional optimisation options, pre-sets, and improvements on top of the stability and optimisation updates included in Title Update 4. Meanwhile, February 2026 will include Arch-tempered Arkveld, being added as the final Arch-tempered monster, alongside other content.

Monster Hunter Wilds sees players joining the special Research Commission as it explores the Forbidden Lands and learns of the threat called the White Wraith, long thought extinct. In addition to including seamless transitions from story sequences into gameplay, the game adds new Seikret mounts, which can guide the riders to planned destinations and let them perform actions while riding, such as sharpening weapons and gathering materials, while also allowing players to swap to a secondary weapon without needing to return to base.
