Dave the Diver’s In the Jungle DLC Detailed

MINTROCKET released details for Dave the Diver‘s upcoming In the Jungle DLC. Revealed as part of an eight-minute video, viewable below, the details cover the new location of Utara and its new Bancho Grill restaurant. The developer also announced that it is partnering with another studio to release a mobile version of the game, first in China and then internationally in 2026, as well as partnering with Silver Lining Interactive to release a physical edition of the game on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2, also in 2026.

The DLC sees Dave and the Blue Hole Crew journey to the quaint village of Utara, where the new Bancho Grill serves up a fully cooked freshwater menu. In the village, players can dive into the massive nearby lake, gather fruits and other resources, and build relationships with the locals by completing requests. Meanwhile, the Bancho Grill gives players free movement, and they must serve customers across multiple areas, with villagers Dave has befriended also joining the clientele.

The freshwater lake that acts as the DLC’s diving spot features new fauna and dangers. Dave will have access to new tools, including the Jungle Gun, which can transform into a net gun, shotgun, sniper, and regular gun, giving more freedom in combat. The DLC also switches from a horizontal view to a isometric one, and introduces real-time progression, requiring players to give more thought to balancing their priorities. There are also new mini-games.

Dave the Diver is a mixture of adventure RPG, sea exploration, and sushi restaurant management sim and is currently available on PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. Players venture underwater into the ever-changing Blue Hole and catch fish and other creatures with a variety of weapons during the day, before running a sushi restaurant at night.
