Guild Wars Reforged Launching Next Month

ArenaNet and NCSoft are partnering with developer 2weeks for the upcoming major update of MMORPG Guild Wars. The update, titled Guild Wars Reforged, will launch for PC on December 3, 2025, and give the game a new reduced price of $19.99. It will come with the three campaigns of the original Guild Wars: Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall. The update will be free for those who already possess the original game. The Reforged version adds controller support, updated visuals, and quality-of-life improvements. It also makes the game Steam Deck verified. Guild Wars released for PC in April 2005 and is set on the fantasy world of Tyria. The game features a one-time purchase model for its content and does not use subscription fees. Its sequel, Guild Wars 2, was released in 2012 with the same business model and is also still running.
