Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s Final Character Trailer Reveals Monoco
Publisher Kepler Interactive and developer Sandfall Interactive released the fifth and final entry in its series of character spotlight trailers for the upcoming Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. The new video introduces Monoco, the Gestral. He is one of the few Gestrals to speak human language, but like all of his kind, he relishes combat and will happily duel anyone, even friends. His unique ability sees him collect the feet of Nevrons, which he uses to transform during battle.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a turn-based RPG set in a world where, once a year, a being called the Paintress wakes and paints a cursed number upon a monolith, which causes everyone of that age to turn to smoke and disappear. Each year, that number ticks down, with the current year set to be the number 33. Players join Gustave and other members of an expedition that sets out, in the footsteps of previous failed expeditions, to try and end the cycle of death once and for all. Players will be able to create their own builds for their party with gear, attributes, skills, and synergies. Combat will utilise a free aim system to let players target weak points, as well as to dodge, parry, and counter in real time. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 will release on April 24, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
