Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Gets Pre-Launch Lore Trailer

Publisher Kepler Interactive and developer Sandfall Interactive launched another video for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 ahead of the game’s launch next week. The minute-long video, narrated by character Maelle (played in English by Jennifer English), gives an overview of the game’s premise. The game is set in a world where a being called the Paintress wakes and paints a cursed number upon a monolith, which causes everyone of that age to turn to smoke and disappear. As the number counts down, expeditions set out in the footsteps of previous failures to try and end the cycle of death once and for all.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a turn-based RPG whose combat utilises a free aim system to let players target weak points, as well as to dodge, parry, and counter in real time. Players are able to create their own builds for their party with gear, attributes, skills, and synergies. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 will release on April 24, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
