Wayfinder Echoes Fully Launching Next Week

Airship Syndicate announced that Wayfinder Echoes, its full reworking of Wayfinder, will release on October 21, 2024. The game will be available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, priced at $24.99.

Wayfinder was initially created as a free-to-play online action RPG and entered an initial Early Access state in 2023. After splitting with previous publisher Digital Extremes, Airship Syndicate reworked the game into a single purchase single-player and co-op action RPG. The game is set in the world of Evenor, which is being consumed by a force called the Gloom. Players choose from a roster of eponymous Wayfinders — adventurers fighting against the Gloom, each with their own story, play style, and abilities — and take them into dungeon-like Lost Zones that have been consumed by the Gloom.

The full release will feature a full story campaign with randomised dungeons called Lost Zones and three open world areas. One of these areas is the newly-introduced Crucible, which includes quests, mini-bosses, and other secrets. A region reclaimed by nature, it also introduces the new Hookshot to allow players to navigate through its vertical environment. The full release will also include new Talent Trees and Wayfinder Ranks upgrade systems, as well as a new armour system. In addition, the developer is partnering with Critical Role to release the Critical Role Supporter Pack, which introduces over 30 unique items inspired by the series.
