Wayfinder Gets New Gameplay Trailer

Digital Extremes and Airship Syndicate have released a gameplay trailer for free-to-play online action RPG Wayfinder. The two-minute video is an extended version of one shown briefly during Sony’s recent State of Play presentation, giving a quick introduction to its premise, combat, and player customisation.

Wayfinder is set in the world of Evenor, which is being consumed by a force called the Gloom. Players choose from a roster of eponymous Wayfinders — adventurers fighting against the Gloom, each with their own story, play style, and abilities — and take them into dungeon-like Lost Zones that have been consumed by the Gloom. Players can alter them with their Gloom Dagger, affecting elements like enemies encountered and resources dropped, but the Gloom will push back with augments of its own.

Wayfinder is planned to undergo a public Early Access release on PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 in May 2023, before a full launch in late 2023. Those looking to participate in the playtests or closed can sign-up on the game’s official website.
