Wayfinder Launching on Early Access in August

Digital Extremes and Airship Syndicate announced that free-to-play online action RPG Wayfinder will get an Early Access release on August 15, 2023. The Early Access version of the game will be available on PC via Steam, as well as on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. To go with the announcement, the companies released a new trailer showing newly-revealed character Venomess as well as a developer diary video.

The Early Access version of the game will support Cross Play and Cross Save between platforms and will be accessible to those who have purchased a Founder’s Pack. There will be four tiers of Founder’s Packs available to purchase, starting at $19.99, which will grant access to content across two in-game seasons as well as other time-limited rewards.

Wayfinder is set in the world of Evenor, which is being consumed by a force called the Gloom. Players choose from a roster of eponymous Wayfinders — adventurers fighting against the Gloom, each with their own story, play style, and abilities — and take them into dungeon-like Lost Zones that have been consumed by the Gloom. Players can alter them with their Gloom Dagger, affecting elements like enemies encountered and resources dropped, but the Gloom will push back with augments of its own.
