The First Descendant Given New Update

Publisher and developer Nexon’s free-to-play looter-shooter RPG, The First Descendant, has received its first update. The update is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Series X|S, and PC. This major upgrade comes with a new character named Luna, an alternate version of Valby, a new boss battle, and more

Luna is a talented musician who returned to Albion after a long wandering performance. She can perform various dances to aid her allies, increasing their skills’ power, recovering their MP, and decreasing their resource consumption. Luna also carries around a synthesizer gun that allows her to become more powerful when shooting in rythm. Ultimate Valby is an alternate version of Valby equipped with the “Sea of Emerald” nano suit, which gives her two new modifications. Player can now face the devourer-type colossus Gluttony during a void intercept boss battle. This colossus is supplied with systems that gather void energy and cool generated heat. Players defeating this new boss obtain blueprints for new weapons and external components.

The First Descendant takes place on a world that mixes sci-fi and fantasy, and features co-op for up to four players. Players control a Descendant, one tasked with defending the Ingris continent and fighting against alien invaders to help ensure the survival of humanity.
