The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki – Farewell, O Zemuria Hitting Japan in September

Nihon Falcom announced a Japanese release date for its latest title in the Legend of Heroes series, The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki – Farewell, O Zemuria. The game — the twentieth anniversary title for the Kiseki/Trails series — is planned to release for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on September 26, 2024.

In addition to release date announcement, and accompanying trailer, Nihon Falcom released new screenshots for the game. The screenshots focus on returning party members from the previous two titles Trails through Daybreak (aka Kuro no Kiseki) and Kuro no Kiseki II -Crimson Sin-: Feri Al-Fayed, Aaron Wei, Risette Twinings, Quatre Salision, and Judith Lanster. They also feature some new locations in the game in the countryside city of Anchorville.

The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki sees Van Arkride, protagonist of the previous two titles, return in the role for the game continuing his work as a Spriggan, effectively a private detective and mercenary. Kai no Kiseki’s story revolves around two major developments in the series and a fated prophesised date for the Zemurian continent. As the fated year approaches, the Republic of Calvard seeks to explore space by sending up an Orbal rocket. Meanwhile, many forces and people from across Zemuria have been congregating at a location known as the Singularity, in the independent territory of Ored. The game will feature the same hybrid combat as the previous two titles, which lets players switch seamlessly between the series’ traditional turn-based combat (command mode) and a real-time action system (field mode).
