Broken Roads Introduces Jackaroo Origin

Developer Drop Bear Bytes revealed one of the four playable characters origins from its upcoming RPG Broken Roads. The introduced origin is the Jackaroo, who has been abandoned by their parents before being raised by the manager of a remote station. The Jackaroo has great survival skills they owe to the station hands, but the crew end up killed by raiders.

Broken Roads is set in a post-apocalyptic Western Australia and follows a group of companions as they travel across the region making allies, battling enemies, and investigating strange goings-on. The game features real-time exploration with turn-based combat and a hand-drawn art style, as well as character development built around four philosophies: Humanist, Utilitarian, Machiavellian, and Nihilist. Broken Roads is set to release for PC (via Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S this year, with a Nintendo Switch version also planned.
