Star Renegades Update Released on PC

Massive Damage has released a major update for sci-fi turn-based rogue-lite Star Renegades. The update is titled “The Imperium Strikes Back” and is available to owners of the game for free. It will also be released for consoles in early 2021 and adds:

  • New Planet: Prycon, an alternate second planet to Norosh that is more dangerous but with enemies that provide higher rewards
  • New Adversaries: Tempest, Shivver, and Ogre
  • New Behemoths: Abomination and Siren
  • New Drones: Frostbot

Star Renegades sees players leading squads of soldiers on missions against the mighty robotic forces of the Imperium. The game — which released for PC in September 2020 and for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch in November 2020 — features a reactive round-based combat system with players able to manipulate the timing of enemy attacks to their advantage.
